Waiting game
11.18 am This morning has brought a further rise of 19 points after good overnight leads with some consolidation in the metals. It's pretty quiet trading though with it being a Friday.
I was pretty excited about DCC pre-trade, thinking today could be strong, but it went into a trading halt a few minutes before the open. The odds are it's a capital raising and it may explain why the stock has been underperforming over the last week or so relative to bitcoin.
The other stock I like in the small caps, Updater, is tracking nicely as it looks to push through the mini congestion. Up 1 at 133 and another couple of cents to 135 would be a very positive sign. I haven't got that many so I'd buy a few more there.
I'm away for a week so I don't think I'll post much more but I'm willing to hold some of these smaller stocks while on holiday.
4.29 pm Off for a week now. Updater closed at 140, bought a couple more at 134.5 though day was marred by a holding in CLQ I should have cut. Having another steep swing down and closed at 125.5. Too late to cut now, support is close and uptrend is still strong.
