Working the big figure
12.40 pm The index is still hanging around 5900 which is reasonably encouraging given it could easily have fallen by now.
My book is going ok with BPT the best performer, up 4 to 92.5. I added more at 91. MPL has failed to hold so I'm out at 307, small positions in BSL, IGO, MIN and OZL have done well and PTM is down slightly but looks fine.
OZL is pretty interesting having rolled back up following a high flag. I've added a bit this morning and might buy more later on a good finish.
The small caps have performed well and I've added a new position in AML, a diversified mining explorer based in Queensland. Long at 19.5.
3.34 pm Not much movement at the station but the individual stocks have done a bit. I sold a handful of BPT at 93 and some OZL at 850 though I've been a net buyer on the day in the low 840s. The stock is back to 834 but I'll hold here. PTM has recovered and I've got a new large cap long in Boral at 723. It's a simple resumption - nearly - after a high consolidation.
I bought Nanosonics at 288 in the small cap book yesterday and sold them at 298 today. I think I was too hasty so I've bought them back at 301.
4.30 pm It was another congestion day for the market but it finished pretty well, every attempted sell off has failed in the 6 days of congestion following the driving run. I'm assuming the market will soon try the upside.
I'm broadly long though I sold some of the PTM at the close at 739.
Cleanteq is another of the small caps in a strong trend. I bought mid afternoon at 139 and took profit on some at the match at 143. Looks solid for tomorrow.
